This is a new thing that's still a work in progress. We'll see how well it works out. Kudos to our Graphics Mod Tempest for the idea!
A quest is a mission that a character (or several, it depends) can take on to earn rewards. They're basically jobs that you do in the roleplay boards, except there's no penalty if you fail the quest. They can be anything from helping Fado herd the goats to finding and taking out a mob of ghost Stalfos. Some will be easy, and anyone can take them. Others are much harder or require a certain skillset. If you think your character can handle it, then by all means, take it.
For now, only I and out awesome Staff can make quests. Though, whoever posts the quest is in charge of modding the threads for that quest. If any of you guys have suggestions, you can tell me about them and I might put it here~!
Sometimes characters can team up with others. Other times the quest may require them to go alone. It depends on the quest. Just because someone is doing the quest doesn't mean someone else can't do it too. What a person or group does in the quest won't affect the others doing the quest seperately.
This is the basic layout for a quest:
First, a Staff member will create a thread in this board with the thread title being the name of the quest. The first post should look something like this:
Then whoever wants to take the quest will post in that thread with the character(s) they want to do it with and if they want to team with the character(s) of anyone else who's also doing it. The Staff running the quest thread will reply, either accepting them or not. Then the fun begins.
A Taker will make a thread in the place where the quest is, labeled [QUEST] in the title, and roleplay out their character(s) arriving. Then the Staff will reply with their own roleplay post, including NPCs if they want or just making it a scenario. Any canons not taken can be NPCs as long as they stay in character. It won't be included in their history if someone does pick them. Then the Taker will reply. This keeps going until the quest is either finished, failed, or moved to a new area. In that last case, the old thread is archived and theTaker makes another [QUEST] thread in the new place. Then the cycle will keep going.
Once the quest is finished, the Staff gives them one last post with their rewards and adds any given points to the Taker's points. Then the thread is closed and archived. :3
UPDATE 6/17/14 ~ Staff can make quests now too! Go wild guys!

First, a Staff member will create a thread in this board with the thread title being the name of the quest. The first post should look something like this:
Name: The name of the quest. Be creative, but it should reflect what the quest is about.
Description: What is the quest? Describe the problem or goal here, and what will need to be done to get it resolved. This can be long and complicated if you want. Be sure to mention what places the quest will take place in.
Requirements: Can be none. Does this quest require just a single person? A stealthy and quiet person? Someone good with animals? A good fighter? Try to be broad enough; usually there's more than one way to reach a goal and they might surprise you.
Rewards: What will you get for completing it? Easy quests should have small-ish rewards. Harder and complicated quests should have bigger and rarer ones. This can include points or special items, or even privileges as long as I or Snow okay them first. You can even give extra afterwards if they do a really good job. The rewards are given to each member, not character.
Ends: This can be a date, or a month, or when a certain number of people sign up for it. The time when the quest will be moved to the Archives. However, people working on the quest can still keep working on it as long as they make at least one post in it every week or two. Note: Staff may close a quest at any time they wish, not just the time stated here.
