The younger boy, sensing Caiden's gaze on him, makes a strange noise and curls up, hiding under the blanket. "I don't want to get up, Mother," he groans, curling up tighter.

An hour later, Zel wakes up feeling much better and discovers that the window is locked. Snorting, Zel tries to lockpick the window. She must have done something, though, because for all his skill he can't unlock the window. He curses under his breath in Latin and hides under the bed, pouting.

Caila walks in and smiles, seeing that he's gone. She knows the window is still locked though. Peeking under the bed, she says "Hi honey. Took you long enough. Here." and slides him a glass of water. There's a pill next to it. "That should help with the hangover. I would have given it to you earlier but you were kinda unconscious."
Unnoticed by his sister, Caiden walks in. He stands by the wall, not wanting to bother them but curious as usual.

Zel pouts more, and he knocks over the glass of water and refuses to take the pill. "I don't need medicine." A hungover Zel is a very stubborn Zel. And he's also a very fussy, very pouty Zel.
He retreats farther under the bed, pulling the blanket down and cocooning himself in it. He refuses to take medicine, and he refuses to do anything except complain. At one point, he tells Caila, "Zel is gonna need me. She can never do her hair in a braid without my help." Another time he outright told her that if she didn't unlock the window or let him leave he'd throw crayons at her.
A fussy, pouty, stubborn, hungover Zel is not a Zel anyone should want to deal with.

Caila frowns at him and crosses her arms. "Come on, you'll feel a lot better if you take it." After he crawls father under the bed though, she leaves pretty soon. Fine, he can wait it out.
Caiden hesitantly walks forward, peeking under the bed. "...It really will make you feel better," he says, "At least drink some water? That'll help too." He pushes another water glass towards Zel, watching him with soft eyes. Poor guy. He's not much like his sister in personality, but they look pretty much exactly the same.

Zel growls. He bares his teeth and shrinks farther under the bed. "Are you done now? Please tell me." He flips out a knife and begins to carefully wipe dried blood off.
"S'what I thought." Turning around to face the other way grumpily, he knocks over this water glass too. And he gives not one care. As his personality turns to Shrike, his horns materialize. They just barely graze the underside of the bed. A hungover Shrike is a very dangerous Shrike.

Caiden pulls away when Zel knocks over the glass again. Are those horns, or is he seeing things? Giving Zel one last hurt look with his innocent eyes, he stands and leaves the room. Well, that was disappointing. He's definitely thinking that this twin is very different from his sister...

Later on, Zel does manage to eventually unlock the window and crawl out, pretty much just dragging himself because he's still a little hungover. The next day around noon, when he's finally gotten over his hangover, he dresses up like a girl and quietly goes over. He does get cat-called once, but then he beats the other guy with his purse and keeps walking.
Someone also tries to mug him once. They also got beat up with his purse. If no one had guessed by now, he kept bricks in his purse.
When he gets to Caila's house, he knocks three times on the door and then lets himself in. "Caila, Caiden?" he calls, silver eyes concerned. Now that he's dressed like a girl again, his voice seems to have risen an octave or two.
